Scientist Warns About Military Robots

Over 4,000 robots are currently deployed on the ground in Iraq and by October 2006 unmanned aircraft had flown 400,000 flight hours. Currently there is always a human in the loop to decide on the use of lethal force. However, this is set to change with the US giving priority to autonomous weapons - robots that will decide on where, when and who to kill. Help For Abused Woman--In Hair Salons

For most women, the hair salon can be the perfect place to share secrets about everything under the sun, from guilty pleasures to illicit affairs. It's a classier version of Taxicab Confessions, with the added bonus of a cute new ‘do.
Even though hair stylists may not be able to convince women to leave their abusers, "what we are encouraging from the salon operator, is just to provide them with the information, ‘think about it, there's help,'" said Dominguez . Want Some Placenta In Your Hair Conditioner?
By Patricia Mayville-Cox.
The placenta is a wonderful organ that receives nutrients, oxygen, antibodies, and hormones from the pregnant mother, gives them to a developing fetus and then passes out the waste.
It also found in cosmetics like hair conditioners and face creams. I knew this, somewhere in the back of my mind

It also found in cosmetics like hair conditioners and face creams. I knew this, somewhere in the back of my mind
Here's a scary study: Four girls between one and eight years of age developed breast or pubic hair two to 24 months after starting the use of estrogen- or placenta-containing hair products. The developing breasts and pubic hair regressed when they stopped using the products and no other cause for early sexual development was found. Go here.---

Bye Bye Banana

Two fungi, Panama disease and Sigatoka, are threatening the current major variety, the Cavendish. (This variety was more resistant than the earlier Gros Michel, which succumbed to Panama disease in the 1950s.) Because the repeated cuttings have prevented the bananas from reproducing sexually and therefore changing up their genes, they are less resistant to pests. Ancient Cave Found In Rome
(newser) – Archaeologists have found the cave w
orshiped by ancient Romans as the site where a wolf nursed the infant twins Romulus and Remus, who later founded the city. The cave, called the Lupercale, was found underground in an unexplored site near the palace of Augustus. "You can imagine our amazement, we almost screamed," says the head of the archaeological team. • Excavating the site will be difficult, because the cave is two-thirds filled with debris, reports Reuters. "We have to investigate with extreme caution," says an archaeologist. "This is a precious thing which is certainly more than 2,000 years old." The colorful cave is 52 feet beneath the surface, where restoration work on the palace continues. Go to---
