'I Need Your Love So Bad'.... Count Me In FLEETWOOD MAC

FLEETWOOD MAC 1973, from Wikipedia cc/ see photo info
O.K., Today, I;m listening to FLEETWOOD MAC and HERE...and remembering how much I loved that band, way back when. I'll post what I find about them below. O.K? But, Steve needs me off the computer for awhile...Be back soon and finish this post. Jan
2:40 PM 2/30/15....I'm back and will get right to it. O.K, Where was I? hummm....oh yea, here I go.
PHOTO INFO: From Wikipedia, link above:1973 line-up with Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Bob Weston, John McVie, and Bob Welch
PETER GREEN/guitar, founder of Fleetwood Mac in 1967, he named this British-American band after two of it's original members, namely MICK FLEETWOOD/drums and JOHN MCVIE/bass. But, McVie ended up not staying with this group....BUT, to late... the name stuck anyway....even though they have had over 15 members over the years. NOTE: I did read that Mcvie rejoined the band later and his wife CHRISTINE MCVIE played keys with the group.
They were very popular in the late '60's and again after 1975. In 1977 their album 'Rumurs' with the single 'Dreams' [thanks The Music Channel] featuring vocalist STEVIE NICKS hit  number 1 on the American charts and stayed there for an amazing 31 weeks states Wikipedia. It has sold over 45 million copies world wide....Way cool. They are one of the best selling bands of ALL time...well, of course.
O.K., What's the tune that started this post for me this morning? It was hearing a tune called 'Need Your Love So Bad' [thanks davey boy phelan]. This is what that video page said: " Uploaded on Dec 28, 2009" ...Wish I'd found more info. Enjoy. Jan

Pushing The Limits ...Honoring LIVE Music AND Musicians

by artist,  Don Hill/see photo credit
Today's a rehearsal day, for us that means working up music. I love it all. Usually, looking up YOUTUBE video links and listening to some great music. I've learned that musicians and my BARTLETT are all really amazing folks. They listen to tunes once, twice  AND 'Wha-La', they play real music with other musicians...who probably did the very same thing. They CAN all hear a pin drop...I'm sure of it.They make it look easy...BUT really it's an unusual talent and art that's been developed and learned over many years of continued practice..just try it yourself. Please, appreciate live music and these rare artists. I see more and more clubs  using  D.J.'s and recordings and limiting Live Music opportunities for us all.. Makes me sad to think people may not get opportunities to ever see music 'LIVE'  Jan

Important News From the Underground and YELM TRIAD PRODUCTIONS....'No, It's NOT True'

by unknown cc
Look what I found...some important news from that unidentified mysterious underground reporter that's seen round Yelm, WA  recently. Yes, It's from last month. WOW, can't wait for the next edition of YELM IN THE SPOTLIGHT by YELM TRIAD PRODUCTIONS and find out more.. Always fun and right on top of the most important news in this interviewing Santa at Christmas time, for example. How'd they ever get to do that? After all, he's a very busy man in December.
Well, just watch and ...well, just for the record....'I' [yep,Jan, of course]' think it might have something to do with some of those very timely important questions raised by that underground reporter. I noticed that Santa ain't talkin'....very suspicious indeed...'.hummm'...[thinking...wondering 'ah' pause, dreamy slower now] We all know Santa is always 'all smiles and HO HO HOing everywhere and-all the time. Sometimes, you can't shut the guy up.
Faster now....So, I think we should investigate this important issue further and as soon as possible too. STRONGER... pounding my fist on he table with each word. Jan.
Watch THIS ...what do you think? [thanks YELM TRIAD PROD]  This is what the video page says: " Published on Dec 18, 2013

Tangerine Dream also released several film soundtracks ;[ like Risky Business, Sorcerer, Firestarter], as well as abundant live performances and EPs  over the years.  Froese also was a electronic music solo artist.
I was always really into UFO's, Space Exploration and Aliens ever since I was a kid and I saw those very cool movies like "Invasion From Mars' [thanks Michael Santiago] and 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' [thanks idoru345].....Some of Tangerine Dream's electronic music always reminded me of that time in my love of the 'Alien' I will post something  cool and 'alien' O.K? So, Here's a YOUTUBE video of the Tangerine Dream's album called "Pheadra' [thanks Protean Soundwaves ]. AND, who can ever forget TOM CRUSE 'dancing some old time rock and roll' by Bob Seger in the movie, ;Risky business [thanks venus62890] and Tangerine Dream on the train? [still makes me blush].

Love You Mom...Remembering ELISABETH BARTLETT Today

Steve's parents, Morgan and Elisabeth Bartlett, 2013, by Mark J.
Elisabeth Bartlett, had not eaten or drank. for 12 days, Family and Hospice were with her. So, we waited too, Steve calling and playing his bass each day to her over the phone...she'd open her eyes. Ate ice cream three times during those 12 days
She had  lived in California with Steve's sister Christine,  for several years. Now, She appeared to be resting peacefully at their home...
Christine thought the time was close...she may pass this plane soon, any time..
Saturday, January 17th, 2015 Steve  played Mom  music with his bass over the phone, when she passed 'round 4 pm.
I'm posting this .for all of her friends at R.S.E  and in the Yelm area.
Love you Mom, Jan and Steve

'Call Me' ST. PAUL AND THE BROKEN BONES...Who Are These Guys?

see photo credit
Today, TOM BOYLE posted this on FACEBOOK, WOW..this .group that I'd never heard of before called ST. PAUL AND THE BROKEN BONES and HERE. The video I saw was from 'Late Night David Letterman'....It was of a band that  odd name...St.Paul and the Broken Bones' singing 'Call Me' [thanks Late Show with David Letterman]...This amazing singer/song writer singing his tune with power and presence and what? dancing too. I mean this kinda strange looking guy is looking just like MICHAEL JACKSON to me after just a few seconds, he loves his music...this is such a cool song and this singer is putting his heart and soul into the performance...I just have to post the video and learn more about it all. Check it all out above. O.K? I'll post some more versions of the song below.
O.K., First, I found out that the singer/song writer named PAUL JANEWAY, and 'the broken bones' plus Paul are a seven piece band that have been together since 2012. Janeway and bassman JESSE PHILLIPS had been together since  the 2000's. Then they met the rest of the band in a recording studio in Birmingham, AL. Most of the members of this band are from the Birmingham area. Wikipedia said they have one album out called 'Half The City'...So, A new group really...'.Watch out' is what I say. But, I alsp heard Janeway was a BIG WILSON PICKETT fan, and heard on YOUTUBE that they made a album of Pickett's tunes.
I found another video of the group doing 'Call Me', of course, MY favorite of their songs...Here  Paul is singing 'Call Me' and dancing etc. AND they're in a garage? See HERE. [thanks  OurVinyl] This is what the video page sats: " Published on Jul 15, 2013
To watch more videos from St. Paul and the Broken Bones, click here:" Yes, this tune makes Janeway dance and you too...just everywhere. Paul is singing this tune he  dances like he really is enjoying himself. So, be ready to get up and put your dancing shoes on too. That's how this song effects me every time I hear it. David Letterman's video is really favorite of them all.

So, enjoy ALL of the different versions of 'CALL ME' and I'll post more below and other related video links as well. Jan

see photo credit
'Please folks...Don't do this at home.' I mean it, just one tiny teeny-weeny little slip of 'er' well, just about anything AND, deaster [spell?] BIG time. 'Cause Who cares if your hair looks really great if your head is off your shoulder? That's just NOT a pretty site anyway you cut it, is it? You'll be singing the BLUZZZ.
Someone posted a simular [spell?] video on FACEBOOK this morning, guess, there's many video of of this Viet Nam[ese Hair Cutter online. This is called dangerous by me BUT 'cutting hair with a samurai sword' [thanks Vietweek].. This is what the video page says: " Published on Nov 23, 2014

That Mysteirous Gypsy...STEVIE NICKS, 'On The Cover of the ROLLING STONE'...Again

from Wikipedia cc/ see link
O.K. What did I find today?, This morning I read about that lovely dreamy lady...STEVIE NCKS and HERE  [photo link] in THE ROLLING STONE, looks like she's gonna be on the 'Cover of the Rolling Stone' by DR.HOOK [thanks yendor61] on their issue that hits the news stands tomorrow, Friday, January 16th, 2015. This lady has been on the cover before....WOW, ...we ALL know just how amazing that is. Anyway, tomorrow not only is she on the cover, BUT there is A BIG STORY too.. Boy, can't wait to read it all. Let's ALL check it out. O.K?
I remember trying to be Ms, Nicks in the  '70' know pretending in the mirror with a kinda funny pouty/dreamy look...of course, singing 'Gypsy' [thanks TheLegendsWeLove]..BUT, .I could never quite pull it off, but had fun, BUT,Eeveryone would know it was ME and NOT her. But, over and over I'd try hopeful anyway ... I've kept this all to myself 'til now. I wanted to be Stevie Nicks way back then.
Nicks is best known for her work in the band FLEETWOOD MAC in Haight-Ashberry 'Hippie Heaven , San Fransico, California.', There's Grammys and lotsa awards over the years WIKIPEDIA has so much info....I just couldn't posibly read it all in one day. BUT, tomorrow's issue of the Rolling Stone is another story I'm really looking forward for my copy.
Just another brief note before I go:  You know, My friend, SHELLY ELY, looks like Stevie 'ah''s Stevie,.Almost, pretty darn close, anyway,  Jan

KITARO, New Age or Old Age?..Just .Wonderful Music, Whatever We Call It

KITARO from Wikipedia cc, see link
When did I first hear KITARO?  I can't remember exactly when ...BUT, loved him right off AND, it was several years ago. DOUG JOHNSON posted Kitaro this morning on FACEBOOK,called 'Matsuri' [thanks San Bass]  and reminded me...just how amazing this Japanese composer, recording artist and as Wikipedia says: " a pioneer of new age music." was and still  is.. See more Kitaro HERE, photo link..
New Age, Old Age, it's wonderful and amazing. I especially enjoy Kitaro's intensity....he's IN his music. What I mean is.... When I watch a video of one of his performances I can see that he's present with every bar of  every line of all the music and living it. It's simple music, that he's really involved in A great performance, and I love it all. It really works for him and me.. It's called 'Showmanship'. I love it...the whole picture.
When I researched Kitaro online for this post. One of the first things that I noticed was he seemed to be born to be a musician and let nothing stopped him...he continued this dream, .even his parents moved away and did not tell him...What?..'.Doesn't that appear to be a bit extreme? After all...he just wants to play some   powerful, beautiful music, not be an office worker or something.'
Anyway, Kitaro first got interested in music when he heard the Synthesizer and loved the sound. He switched to the keyboards in the early '70's.  Now plays guitar, bass guitar, flutes and drums with the keys. First In 1965, he'd joined 'The Far East Family Band', they toured the world....The Far East as well as Europe.
Then he started playing solo in 1977. Created two albums that became hugh hits of the new age movement.  They were 'Ten Kai' and 'Full Moon Story and, that's about when I first heard of 'Kitaro'' and loved his sound.
Around 1980, Kitaro was involved in the Japanese documentary called '.The Silk Road: The Rise and Fall of Civilizations'. The soundtrack sold millions of copies and launched 'Kitaro' into the whole  world's view.. The rest is history as they say: 16 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and so many more awards and public gifts etc.
He's 61 years old now and stll going strong. Has been touring with DOMO RECORDS [link above] with other artists.. He's been married 2 times and now lives in California U.S.A Jan.
Here's a YOUTUBE copy of 'MATSURI' my favorite tunes  of Kitaro's and the one I saw this morning. This is what the video page sats: " Uploaded on May 31, 2006
