What The Heck Is Creative Commons Anyway? Just FREE ADVERTISING, That's All...WOW

Lately, we became 'painfully' aware of several folks, some of them, our very best friends that were very confused about CREATIVE COMMONS. They were wondering 'bout it's uses and if putting any of their [and Steve's, by the way] very talented and hard-earned music, artwork, photos etc., up on BARTLETT'S ON BASS give their Copyright 'away'?
Well, I know 'Creative Commons is new for some people....
So, I put up the statement at the top of our creative commons sites...so, everyone can plainly see..."Portions of this work contain the intellectual property of third party authors and contributors. As such, third party authors and contributors retain all copyrights in the individual works and reserve all rights not specifically granted herein"
'COPYRIGHTED' material is NEVER giving away... of course not, your copyright is always safe!....This might help, ..Here's a link of some well known online business's that you know, that ARE involved: Read and link HERE    [BIG Hint: GOOGLE, FLICKR, WIKIPEDIA etc. and even millions more]

In as many ways we can use Creative Commons to share, learn, and communicate with like-minded people around the globe, we can explain what it is that Creative Commons does.
