BARTLETT by Mary Jo Triholm |
SHELLY ELY's voice just gives me goose bumps AND, I was covered last night with bumps.... guitarist/singer song writer of the group, STEVE MERRIAM, had found a new duet for SHELL and himself.... very BLUZZZY and cool.
Now, this whole band sings....and so, WOW...they work out harmonies and evrything at rehearsals.....I'm always there for every note...lucky me.
ANDRE THOMAS/drums and my hubby STEVE BARTLETT on bass and vocals are the rest of this group. See you the 24th.
What else is happening in BARTLETTs music world? JOE PLEMMONS/guitar/vocals and leader of the band STRANGE PLEASURE called yesterday....needs a bassman for the next two Friday nights.....O.K....cool...'Strange Pleasure' will be in Puyallup the next 2 [two] Fridays with BARTLETT ON BASS, filling in for the regular bassman. It's great to see Plemmons....I will post the where and time here...O.K? UPDATE: R & R Lounge...7824 River Road, Puyallup, WA....8pm.
What else? Well, Steve's been jamming with KEVIN CHRISTENSEN/drums and his friends on Monday nights. It's fun....jazz, blues, soul, funk, rock, pokka....I'm joking, no one ever has requested a pokka ... We've known Kevin forever it seems. We'll see what happens and I'll let everyone know, when I do. Kevin has always been a one of a kind mystery to me. I like him. Reminds me of 'Howdy Doody' who I just loved as a kid. Yeah, that's Kevy..... a red headed, mysterious, freckled faced, funny, very talented, drumming old friend, but, I never know what's gonna happen. Kinda exciting....huh? Jan
