FLEETWOOD MAC 1973, from Wikipedia cc/ see photo info |
-----------------
2:40 PM 2/30/15....I'm back and will get right to it. O.K, Where was I? hummm....oh yea, here I go.
PHOTO INFO: From Wikipedia, link above:1973 line-up with Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Bob Weston, John McVie, and Bob Welch
----------------------------
PETER GREEN/guitar, founder of Fleetwood Mac in 1967, he named this British-American band after two of it's original members, namely MICK FLEETWOOD/drums and JOHN MCVIE/bass. But, McVie ended up not staying with this group....BUT, to late... the name stuck anyway....even though they have had over 15 members over the years. NOTE: I did read that Mcvie rejoined the band later and his wife CHRISTINE MCVIE played keys with the group.
They were very popular in the late '60's and again after 1975. In 1977 their album 'Rumurs' with the single 'Dreams' [thanks ] featuring vocalist STEVIE NICKS hit number 1 on the American charts and stayed there for an amazing 31 weeks states Wikipedia. It has sold over 45 million copies world wide....Way cool. They are one of the best selling bands of ALL time...well, of course.
O.K., What's the tune that started this post for me this morning? It was hearing a tune called 'Need Your Love So Bad' [thanks ]. This is what that video page said: " Uploaded on Dec 28, 2009" ...Wish I'd found more info. Enjoy. Jan
