Singer/Songwriter BOBBY WOMACK Dead At 70

You know, I enjoy reading THE ROLLING STONE,and keeping up on everything that's going on in music. This morning, I read about BOBBY WOMACK and HERE. He died a couple of days ago, on June 27th, had multiple health problems for along time....cause of death was not stated.
He was one of the lead singers, with his older brother CURTIS WOMACK,  late 50's and '60 's, in his family band called, THE VALENTINOS. He was also the backing guitarist for SAM COOKE, one of my civil right heros of the 60's.. His parents were both musicians, as well as other younger brothers...HARRY WOMACK, and CECIL WOMACK. His mother, Naomi, played the organ in their Babtist church, and Womack's father,
 Friendly, was also a musician and the minister.
Bobby started playing the guitar around age 8.
Womack also wrote and first recorded the hit 'It's All Over Now' [thanks haulofrecords]  and  HERE in '64. That's the tune made famous by THE ROLLING STONES.
Ater Sam Cooke's death, 'The Valentinos' disbanded and Bobby Womack, now 20, created a scandal by marrying  Sam Cooke's widow BARBARA CAMPBELL, stating he feared she would "do something crazy" if left alone after Sam's death.
But then....Something 'Crazy'  does happen [ only Jan's opinion].

Bobby Womack's third marriage was to Regina Banks with whom he had a son Bobby Truth and a daughter Gina. From his relationship with Jody Laba he fathered two sons, Cory and Jordan.^[16]
Bobby Womack's younger brother, Cecil (1947–2013), later married Linda, the daughter of Sam Cooke and Campbell"....O.K., didn't I tell ya..looks like some crazy stuff. Of course, every family has this kinda crazy stuff happen. What was I thinking?  Thanks for  all the music Bobby. Jan
