UNTIL, each morning, that is....when our porch is covered with birds and/or 'ah'....how do I say this politely?....O.K. bird left-overs. Those sweet little things ARE peeking through the dog-door at us.... complaining loudly....gives me the heeby-jeebies, you know that kinda creepy feeling. Like we're being watched...'cause WE ARE being watched and they want their breakfast NOW, after all it's almost 6 A.M., ain't it?. So, Steve rushes out to serve them. Cages seem like not such a bad idea each morning, 'round 6 A.M.

We raise chickens, rabbits, turkeys and sheep right now....oh yea, and a dog too. BUT, have raised pigs and other cute stuff over the years.
PIGS are cool...and, that reminds me. BE AT THE PIG BAR TONIGHT, Tuesday, July 1st, for some cool JAZZ. 'The Don Cohen Jazz Quartet' plays from 8 to 10 pm, with DON COHEN/vocals, DAVEN TILLINGHAST/guitar, MARK STOUT/trombone, and of course, my BARTLETT ON BASS.
You remember, 'The Pig Bar' is also known as SOUTHBAY BBQ, address: 619 Legion Way S.E., Olympia, WA. They have Taco Tuesday tonight, or fantastic BBQed meals....that's with all the trimmings, mind you. It's delicious.
The place is easy to get into if your on your own wheels, like I am. A slow, gentle ramp gets you upstairs or the music. The bathrooms are big enough for wheelchairs AND people to get into at the SAME time....funny how so many places don't ever think of that, huh? Well, there's no problem at the Pig Bar or Southbay BBQ, whatever you call it. See ya there. Jan
