Look....Cara's Back In Town....Let's Make Some Beautiful Music Together

Look who we ran into a few days ago...It's CARA CLARKE-POWERS/vocals...AND, Boy, does she look good, of course. SMILE, as always.
BARTLETT and I were looking for fruit trees for our farm in downtown Yelm...and here drives up along side of us, this beautiful black lady and asks how we're doing?...I can't turn my head enough to see, but that voice, I recognize that wonderful voice...could it be?....yes, it is.... it's Cara.
She's in town for a few days, visiting, singing, smiling...she played with STEFAN ABUAN/guitar [just like old times] on the 14th at HIDDEN RIVER in Rainier, WA., wish we'd been there too...well, if we'd  known, we would have been there in a flash.
Cara Clarke/vocals, Stefan Abuan/guitar, BARTLETT ON BASS, and later, Kevin Christensen/drums created the band BE HEAR in 2009. I was even in this band on keys...computer keys, that is. Was it fun..Yep.
The above photo was taken by me, at a private gig at THE LOFT ON CHERRY in Olympia on December 4th, 2009, you can see Steve's bass in front...but wait, what a great picture of Cara, one of my favorite photos in fact. For my story of that gig, go HERE
She lives in Illinois now, AND is thinking about moving back in this area again...yeah! Hope that happens soon. Jan


BE HEAR, 2009

Here's another cool photo of the band, BE HEAR, that's Stefan Abuan/guitar with Cara Clarke/vocals and Steve BARTLETT ON BASS. The photo was taken at now closed THE BLUE BOTTLE ESPRESSO in Yelm on Sept.  11, 2009 before KEVIN CHRISTENSEN/drums joined the band in that November .
