One Half Of THE EVERLY BROTHERS Gone...PHIL EVERLY Dead at 74

As I look for music news online today...I was shocked when I found on THE ROLLING STONE that, as the Rolling Stone said "Rock & roll lost one of its supreme harmony singers" on January 3rd. I also read that PHIL EVERY was a heavy smoker and had died of pulmonary lung disease..He was 74. and was, of course, 1/2 of THE EVERLY BROTHERS. Don was the other half  of those smooth, beautiful singers that I grew up listening to and enjoying so much...WOW. The brothers were inducted into" THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME in 1986 and COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME in 2001" said WIKIPEDIA.
Their harmony style influenced many other rock groups of the '60's, some of those groups were THE BEATLES and HERE, THE BEACH BOYS and HERE, and SIMON AND GARFUNKEL and .HERE also, THE HOLLIES and HERE and THE BEEGEES  or HERE
I loved them and their singing. Their first recording and I say hit song was called 'Bye, Bye Love''57 thanks Concordbeltcreation2. They had many top ten tunes in the '50's and 60's. I'll post some video links below. O.K?
I also found another post from THE ROLLING STONE [ another link] about The Everly Brother's singing for Simon and Garfunkel in 2003. Simon and Garfunkel really admired those Everly Brothers.
