BEATLES Mess Up JAY LENO's Last Night?... What?

O.K....today, I read on MUSIC NEWS that the people of  THE DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW on CBS are talking to the people representing the only two  BEATLES and HERE left... PAUL McCARTNEY and HERE and RINGO STARR and HERE that is,  and arranging a performance on the late night show for next month.
The show is being arranged for the week of February 3rd to the 7th, during a full week of celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the Beatle's first appearance on that ED SULLIVAN SHOW, [thanks TheBeatleYears1  ] way back on February 9th, 1964. I've posted the video...this is what the page says:

This event held at Duquesne University on February 9, 2011 focuses on the context, climate and importance of The Beatles performance on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964. Through film interviews, television footage and a brief lecture by Don Maue, the audience is taken back to the winter of 1963 and 1964 just as The Beatles are about to invent the 1960's pop culture. Jordan Mroziak lectured on the climate of popular music and the predecessors of the pop music refined by The Beatles. Unfortunately Jordan's excellent lecture failed to capture the audio portion and therefore was unusable for this film.
Each year through 2016, The Beatle Years will present an annual event bringing 1965 through 1969 alive for audiences of all ages.

Seems like there's a big incentive for CBS to do this. From the above post...CBS is competing for JAY LENO's audience,...on Jay Leno's last night...February 6th..what? Yes, It looks like that's the date they're hoping to have Paul and Ringo there together on the David Letterman Show. What?
Well, why not invite Jay Leno too, lets ALL be nice and really have a fun night of music and celebration, folks.  It's just an idea, but is it THAT important to mess up Leno's last night?  'Good-bye' Jay Leno. Thank you. Jan
