Share The MUZAK With Your Facebook/Twitter Friends

MsBarrows cc
On USA TODAY, online this morning I found this story. JASON HARDI, with JOHN CRAWLEY created a headphone that lets us all share the music we're listening to with our friends on FACEBOOK and TWITTER with a push of a button. Jason says he's developed 'the world's smartest headphone' or 'social smartwear' a term he trademarked to go along with the headphone their company MUSIK created...well, O.K. Jason and John...how's it all work?...looks like these headphones talk to your smartphone. It can also save your music favorites to your 'streaming playlist'...O.K., cool Jan

Tasty 'New' Bass, Says BARTLETT...or I Can't Believe He Tried To Eat The Whole Thing

Bengt Nyman cc
O.K.  Yesterday BARTLETT ON BASS bought a used 'new rocker bass'. To Steve that means that this new bass will be used for classic rock gigs It has a certain sound, he says it's 'brighter' and easy to 'slap and tap' 'good for funk too'..."just listen", he says and then plays a few notes with a BIG SMILE on his face...."see?"....Well, all that's important is that HE sees isn't it? So, this bass is just right for a certain sound that Steve wants when playing classic rock, slap, tap or funk. He loves it. It was sighed by 'Krist' from NIRVANA'. After Steve bought it and was leaving the store, waving to all...,excitedly with his used new 'rocker, slap, tap, funk' bass in the air above his head,... the store owner, Steve Lewis of MUSIC 6000 in Olympia, who just came in, said it was probably authentic, 'Krist's signature'.  'What?'.. this bass is a dark metalic blue in color....and, Steve had tried to rub off all  the black writing on it,.. that said... 'Krist, needs new knob' with spit on his finger, BUT, it wouldn't come off all the way...yea, Thank Goodness.
Steve has 4 basses now...one fretless and three other electric, each loved for their unique sound. So, rehearsal went kinda slowly as he had to try all the bass's with each tune. I loved them all. Jan

'Don't Hate Me Cause I'm Beautiful'..or..I Get My WHEELCHAIR And Freedom

zader cc
Well, Today's special..it's time for a change....it's.a wheelchair and freedom. So, there's NO need to feel pity for me folks.... Just change your mind, like we have, and see me in my new' freedomchair' as I do. Active again, doing things again,, and so happy. Steve's in our barn, getting the same wheelchair that I've refused time and time again off and on since 1999. AND, We're both excited and hopeful...more activities, more gigs, so more music, yes, more friends...MORE LIFE. Well, you might say, what happened? What changed your mind? Jan huh?
The video below was one of the first things that helped me realized I had excepted and internalized society's negative images and beliefs about using a wheelchair, well, NO more, life's too wonderful I won't miss even a minute. I have spent about the past three years in our home alone, and that has taught so much. I wouldn't have missed THAT either. The video's called SUE AUSTIN: DEEP SEA DIVING IN A WHEELCHAIR , from TEDtalksDirector....And, this is what the video page says: " Published on Jan 8, 2013
When Sue Austin got a power chair 16 years ago, she felt a tremendous sense of freedom -- yet others looked at her as though she had lost something. In her art, she aims to convey the spirit of wonder she feels wheeling through the world. Includes thrilling footage of an underwater wheelchair that lets her explore ocean beds, drifting through schools of fish, floating free in 360 degrees. (Filmed at TEDxWomen.)

This Baby's Dead...Then ALIVE..Amazing And True...A Miracle!

Kamaljith cc
This morning I read this amazing story online HERE. It's about this wonderful mom who spent two hours holding-loving her new born son, that doctors had pronounced dead...AND, he came back to life! Love is powerful stuff and just NEVER give up, that's what I learned from this amazing story. I love reading these kinda happy-ending stories about miracles in real life. I know miracles happen everyday, we only miss them. If we think about it everyone has an incredible true story to tell or two.
Here's a video about the story on YOUTUBE

From mamasuntwinkle, VIDEO LINK here. This is what the page says: "Uploaded on Aug 30, 2010
August 27, 2010. Miracle mum brings premature baby son back to life with two hours of loving cuddles after doctors pronounce him dead, By Mail Foreign Service.
It was a final chance to say goodbye for grieving mother Kate Ogg after doctors gave up hope of saving her premature baby.
She tearfully told her lifeless son - born at 27 weeks weighing 2lb - how much she loved him and cuddled him tightly, not wanting to let him go.
Although little Jamie's twin sister Emily had been delivered successfully, doctors had given Mrs Ogg the news all mothers dread - that after 20 minutes of battling to get her son to breathe, they had declared him dead.
Having given up on a miracle, Mrs Ogg unwrapped the baby from his blanket and held him against her skin. And then an extraordinary thing happened.
After two hours of being hugged, touched and spoken to by his mother, the little boy began showing signs of life.
At first, it was just a gasp for air that was dismissed by doctors as a reflex action. But then the startled mother fed him a little breast milk on her finger and he started breathing normally.
'I thought, "Oh my God, what's going on",' said Mrs Ogg. 'A short time later he opened his eyes. It was a miracle. Then he held out his hand and grabbed my finger.
'He opened his eyes and moved his head from side to side. The doctor kept shaking his head saying, "I don't believe it, I don't believe it".'
The Australian mother spoke publicly for the first time yesterday to highlight the importance of skin-on-skin care for sick babies, which is being used at an increasing number of British hospitals.
'He started gasping more and more regularly. I thought, "Oh my God, what's going on?" A short time later he opened his eyes. It was a miracle'
In most cases, babies are rushed off to intensive care if there is a serious problem during the birth.
But the 'kangaroo care' technique, named after the way kangaroos hold their young in a pouch next to their bodies, allows the mother to act as a human incubator to keep babies warm, stimulated and fed.
Pre-term and low birth-weight babies treated with the skin-to-skin method have also been shown to have lower infection rates, less severe illness, improved sleep patterns and are at reduced risk of hypothermia.
Mrs Ogg and her husband David told how doctors gave up on saving their son after a three-hour labour in a Sydney hospital in March.
The doctor asked me had we chosen a name for our son,' said Mrs Ogg. 'I said, "Jamie", and he turned around with my son already wrapped up and said, "We've lost Jamie, he didn't make it, sorry".
'It was the worse feeling I've ever felt. I unwrapped Jamie from his blanket. He was very limp.
'I took my gown off and arranged him on my chest with his head over my arm and just held him. He wasn't moving at all and we just started talking to him.
'We told him what his name was and that he had a sister. We told him the things we wanted to do with him throughout his life.
'Jamie occasionally gasped for air, which doctors said was a reflex action. But then I felt him move as if he were startled, then he started gasping more and more regularly. 'I gave Jamie some breast milk on my finger, he took it and started regular breathing.'
Mrs Ogg held her son, now five months old and fully recovered, as she spoke on the Australian TV show Today Tonight.
Her husband added: 'Luckily I've got a very strong, very smart wife. 'She instinctively did what she did. If she hadn't done that, Jamie probably wouldn't be here.'

in-boulder cc
This video is just beautiful...please listen and enjoy just like I did. This is a tribute to LED ZEPPLIN, done by ANN and NANCY WILSON, from HEART of Seattle, performing at THE KENNEDY CENTER. This is what the page says:" Published on Dec 27, 2012

While looking for more information about this story, I saw that drummer JASON BONHAM, son of Led Zepplin's late drummer, JOHN BONHAM wants to create tribute to Led Zepplin and his father by playing with a hologram of his father. Jason who joined Led Zepplin for their last show in December 2007, said this has been a dream of his. See and read the while story HERE.

'I Am Woman Hear Me Roar'. Really?..DUSTIN HOFFMAN's Inisghts on Women

by diginmag cc
This morning I found this story all over online. I know, I know this video is not fun or music...BUT, a BIG eye-opening realization for actor DUSTIN HOFFMAN, who I admire. I thought this video helped me look at life with a brand new view and see more of myself and the truth of being' different' plus an over weight, aging, poor woman in our beautiful, well dressed, youthful oriented, sexy-desirable IS required society.
Many folks have not created some the life experiences, that I've chosen for myself. And, many have not understand my life choises, including me...and, these insights of Dustin Hoffman's were important to hear... and, helped me understand 'ME' better, and to be kinder to myself and others as well.
