News From Jessica Blinn

Jessica just Emailed me with this information.
"Dear Friends,
September is almost here. Beautiful, crisp fall is on its way. And with that, more music! Last month I had a blast playing with Scott Cossu celebrating Olympia’s Procession of the Species and the Jessica Blinn quartet débuted as a swing band at Christine Corey’s OlySwing dance. What fun.

This month will include a trip to Vashon island with Scott Cossu (my first time going there), another fun night at the Royal in Olympia, Swingin with Vince Brown. Please see below for the specifics. As always I appreciate your support. Sharing music with you all is such a joy!

Two great gigs in Olympia this Saturday, September 5th. . .

Scott Cossu at the Dockside Bistro in Olympia 6pm-8pm
Come join me at the beautiful Dockside Bistro to hear the music of Scott Cossu along with some great Jazz and Blues standards. Scott has recorded numerous albums for Windham Hill Records and toured throughout the country with his original compositions. He’s is a lot of fun to see live!! To learn more about Scott and hear his music go to http://www.scottcossu.com/.
Swing Wine Bar and Grill 9-11pm; 825 Columbia Street
After the Dockside I will be swinging over to Swing to play with the wonderful Vince Brown!! We’ll be doing Jazz, Swing and Django tunes. So come by and enjoy a delicious drink and some great tunes!

Greta Jane Quartet at the Royal Monday Sept 7th, 9-11:30pm, 311 Capital Way, Olympia.
Well I get to sub for the lovely Greta Jane again which is always a treat since I get to sing with her awesome band: Vince Brown on guitar, Cary Black on Bass, and special guest Syd Potter on horns. If you are in the mood for some jazz, a drink, some candlelight and maybe even a little dancing, come on down.

Scott Cossu at the Tokeland Hotel Saturday Sept 12th, 5:30 – 8:30pm
The Tokeland Hotel is a national historic landmark overlooking the Willapa Bay and the Pacific ocean. Known for beautiful rooms and excellent food, it is an ideal spot for a luxurious weekend by the water. Scott Cossu and I will be filling the dining room with Scott’s sweet music during dinner Saturday night. So come nourish yourself with yummy things for all the senses!

Please, forgive me and give me a little 'LEE-way' [spell?]...Thanks, Jan SMILE
